ideas into energy is a non-profit educational institute that promotes the international dissemination of sustainable energy and environmental protection technologies. The organisation was founded in Berlin in 2017, carries out projects worldwide together with domestic and foreign educational partners and regularly receives grants from the German Federal Government for this purpose. For the introduction and dissemination of alternative energy sources in countries with high application potential, the institute advises foreign governments, municipalities, associations and companies. ideas into energy is the project executing agency for the project.

The Central Agency for Schools Abroad is responsible for school work abroad with almost 100 employees, more than 50 specialist advisors for German as a foreign language and 15 process facilitators. Around 1,200 schools worldwide, including about 140 German schools abroad, most of which are privately run, receive personnel and financial support. Approximately 1,800 teachers in various functions are located at these institutions. They are supported organisationally, pedagogically and financially by the Central Agency for Schools Abroad during their work abroad.

The initiative “Schools: Partners for the Future” (PASCH) is an initiative of the Federal Foreign Office that was founded in 2008 and unites around 2,000 schools in 120 countries with a special focus on the German language. The PASCH initiative advises schools on the methodological development of German lessons and promotes the professional development of German teachers through training opportunities. Every year, more than 200,000 PASCH students worldwide take part in educational projects, competitions and language courses organised by the PASCH Initiative at local, regional and international level. The PASCH Initiative coordinates and supports all PASCH schools in Central Asia and the Caucasus participating in the project and accompanies the directors and teachers in the implementation of the project on site.

SOLAR23, based in Ulm, Germany, was founded in 2000 and specialises in the planning, supply and maintenance of photovoltaic systems. The company offers economical and optimised solutions for the development and implementation of highly efficient photovoltaic systems both within and outside the European Union. The company plans the systems, provides the necessary technical equipment for the installation of the solar systems in the schools, supervises the commissioning of the systems on site and trains the teachers of the solar schools in the professional handling of the systems and their integration into the school curriculum.

Based in Berlin, BSW-Solar represents the interests of more than 800 companies in the solar and energy storage industry in Germany. With the aim of creating new markets for solar energy and storage worldwide, BSW-Solar offers foreign governments and trade associations its expertise, experience and networks for the development of foreign solar markets. To this end, the association advises decision-makers of national and regional governments and of solar associations abroad in order to contribute to the development of investment-friendly framework conditions for the use of solar energy storage. The association supports the project “Solar Schools in Central Asia and the Caucasus” by providing industry contacts from Germany to the project implementers in order to support the installation of further solar systems on the roofs of schools in Central Asia and the Caucasus.
