Sie sind im Vergleich zu kristallinen Solarzellen deutlich d\u00fcnner, materialsparender und kosteng\u00fcnstiger. Sie lassen sich theoretisch in jeder beliebigen Form herstellen, auch als flexible, biegsame Folien, was der Photovoltaik zahlreiche neue Anwendungsm\u00f6glichkeiten er\u00f6ffnet. Der Hauptnachteil organischer Solarzellen ist jedoch ihr geringerer Wirkungsgrad im Vergleich zu kristallinen Solarzellen.<\/p>\n<p>Forschern vom Riken New Materials Research Center in Japan ist es nun gelungen, organische Solarzellen mithilfe von duroplastischen Polymeren auf gekr\u00fcmmte Oberfl\u00e4chen zu laminieren und dabei eine hohe Effizienz zu erreichen, wie aus einer Studie im Fachmagazin Advanced Materials hervorgeht. Bei dem Verfahren wird die Oberfl\u00e4che eines extrem d\u00fcnnen und damit flexiblen Polymerfilms deutlich verkleinert: \u201eObwohl wir starre Materialien wie Metalle und Kunststoffe verwenden, sind sie dreimal d\u00fcnner als eine Einkaufst\u00fcte und k\u00f6nnen stark gebogen werden, ohne zu brechen\u201c, sagt Stephen Rich, einer der Autoren. (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pv-magazine.de\/2022\/02\/07\/japanische-forscher-laminieren-organische-photovoltaik-auf-gekruemmte-oberflaechen\/\">pv-magazine<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>Beim Aufbringen auf Polymerfolien bilden Schrumpffolien winzige F\u00e4ltchen. Durch die Kontrolle der Gr\u00f6\u00dfe dieser faltigen Strukturen gelang es dem Forschungsteam, schrumpfbare Ber\u00fchrungssensoren herzustellen und organische Solarzellen zusammenzusetzen, die auf gekr\u00fcmmten Oberfl\u00e4chen angebracht werden k\u00f6nnen. Die photonischen Eigenschaften der so entstehenden Faltstrukturen verbessern den Wissenschaftlern zufolge die Absorption des Sonnenlichts durch Solarzellen. Der Wirkungsgrad von Solarmodulen l\u00e4sst sich auf diese Weise um bis zu 17 Prozent steigern.
