Kaum ein Rohstoff ist auf der Erde in so gro\u00dfen Mengen vorhanden wie Wasser, wobei der weitaus gr\u00f6\u00dfte Teil davon Salzwasser ist. Theoretisch existiert auf der Erde also eine (fast) unersch\u00f6pfliche Rohstoffquelle, aus der sich der Kraftstoff Wasserstoff herstellen l\u00e4sst. Das Problem bei der Gewinnung von Wasserstoff aus Meerwasser besteht allerdings darin, dass das Meerwasser zun\u00e4chst entsalzt werden muss, bevor es weiter genutzt werden kann. Die Nutzung der S\u00fc\u00dfwasserreserven der Erde st\u00fcnde im Widerspruch zu einer nachhaltigen Energiewirtschaft.<\/p>\n<p>Neue Ans\u00e4tze zur gr\u00fcnen Wasserstoffproduktion zielen darauf ab, bei diesem energieintensiven Prozess m\u00f6glichst viel \u00d6kostrom zu nutzen.<\/p>\n<p>Hydron B.V., ein niederl\u00e4ndisches Startup, arbeitet an der Herstellung von Wasserstoff durch Elektrolyse mit Strom aus Offshore-Windkraft. Der Hauptkostenfaktor, der diesen Wasserstoff derzeit f\u00fcr eine industrielle Produktion zu teuer macht, ist die aufw\u00e4ndige Entsalzung des Meerwassers. Ziel der Forscher ist es daher, den Preis f\u00fcr gr\u00fcnen Wasserstoff von derzeit 4-10 Euro auf 2 Euro pro Kilogramm zu senken. (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pv-magazine.de\/2022\/01\/05\/schaeffler-skaliert-elektrolyse-technologie-fuer-gruenen-wasserstoff-aus-meerwasser\/\">pv-magazine<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>Ein Ansatz, den Forscher am Leibniz-Institut f\u00fcr Neue Materialien (INM) verfolgen, besteht darin, Meerwasser mithilfe einer Brennstoffzelle zu entsalzen und anschlie\u00dfend mit dem entstehenden S\u00fc\u00dfwasser direkt in der Brennstoffzelle Wasserstoff zu produzieren. Durch die Entsalzung von Wasser wird Strom erzeugt, der dann wiederverwendet werden kann.
