Es ist absehbar, dass eine Vielzahl von Photovoltaikanlagen in den n\u00e4chsten Jahren das Ende ihres Lebenszyklus erreichen werden. Allein in Deutschland werden Sch\u00e4tzungen zufolge k\u00fcnftig j\u00e4hrlich rund 5 Millionen Solarmodule weggeworfen. Mehrere Unternehmen haben diese Problematik bereits erkannt und Technologien zum stofflichen Recycling von Photovoltaikmodulen entwickelt.<\/p>\n<p>Unter der Leitung von Veolia wurde das Projekt ReProSolar Anfang des Jahres ins Leben gerufen und von der Europ\u00e4ischen Union mit 4,8 Millionen Euro gef\u00f6rdert. Gemeinsam mit Partnern aus dem \u00f6ffentlichen und privaten Sektor entlang der gesamten Wertsch\u00f6pfungskette des Solarmodul-Recyclings werden alle in PV-Modulen verwendeten Rohstoffe vollst\u00e4ndig zur\u00fcckgewonnen. Anschlie\u00dfend kann es industriell weiterverarbeitet werden. Bis 2023 soll die Testanlage 5.000 Tonnen Solarmodule pro Jahr verarbeiten. Die F\u00f6rderung des Projektes l\u00e4uft bis Anfang 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Auch das Braunschweiger Start-up SolarMaterials hat ein technisch anspruchsvolles Recyclingverfahren entwickelt: \u201eDank der von uns entwickelten Technologie k\u00f6nnen wir gezielt Einfluss auf die Kunststoff-Bindeschicht nehmen. \u201eNach dem Aufl\u00f6sen l\u00e4sst sich das Schutzglas entfernen und wir haben Zugriff auf die aufgedruckten Silberbahnen der Solarzellen sowie auf die Zelle selbst\u201c, erkl\u00e4rt CTO und Mitgr\u00fcnder Jan Bargiel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201eDadurch wird nicht nur Silizium zur\u00fcckgewonnen, dessen Herstellung energieintensiv ist, sondern \u2013 was noch wichtiger ist \u2013 wertvolles Silber. \u201eDadurch wird das Recycling selbst wirtschaftlich\u201c, sagt Fridolin Franke, kaufm\u00e4nnischer Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrer und Mitgr\u00fcnder von SolarMaterials. Bereits 2023 soll in Magdeburg die erste industrielle Verarbeitungslinie mit einer Jahreskapazit\u00e4t von rund 4.500 Tonnen entstehen.
