Klimaneutrale Energiesysteme ben\u00f6tigen f\u00fcr Anlagen und Speicher zum Teil erhebliche Mengen seltener Rohstoffe.<\/p>\n<p>Im Jahr 2022 wird der weltweite Zubau der Photovoltaik-Kapazit\u00e4t erstmals \u00fcber 200 GW liegen. Die Gesamtinvestition wird auf mindestens 170 Milliarden Dollar gesch\u00e4tzt. Hierzu z\u00e4hlen etwa die steigenden Produktionskosten f\u00fcr Photovoltaikanlagen, die 2021 rund vier Prozent h\u00f6her lagen als 2019. Prognosen deuten jedoch auf einen anhaltenden Ausbau der Photovoltaikbranche hin. Es wird erwartet, dass sich das Preiswachstum im Jahr 2023 normalisiert. (<u>pv-magazine<\/u>)<\/p>\n<p>Zwischen 2013 und 2020 sanken die Kosten f\u00fcr Photovoltaikanlagen weltweit im Durchschnitt um mehr als 50 Prozent. Gleichzeitig stieg die weltweit installierte Photovoltaikkapazit\u00e4t um 275 Prozent. (<u>pv-magazine<\/u>)<\/p>\n<p>Allerdings haben pandemiebedingte Herausforderungen in den Bereichen Investitionen, Lieferketten und Logistik sowie steigende Energiepreise die Situation noch versch\u00e4rft. J\u00fcngst berichteten europ\u00e4ische Photovoltaik-Entwickler, dass die \u00fcberwiegend in China hergestellten Solarmodule teurer und auf dem Markt schwerer zu finden seien als noch vor einigen Jahren.<\/p>\n<p>\"Die Preise f\u00fcr eine Reihe von Materialien sind in den letzten Monaten deutlich gestiegen, aber nat\u00fcrlich sind auch die Preise f\u00fcr \u00d6l und Erdgas gestiegen\", sagte Rolf Gielen, Direktor des Innovations- und Technologiezentrums von IRENA, gegen\u00fcber der DW.<\/p>\n<p>Der Energieexperte f\u00fcgte hinzu, dass der gestiegene Bedarf an Rohstoffen f\u00fcr Elektrofahrzeuge enorm sei und derzeit viele neue Batteriefabriken gebaut w\u00fcrden. Die Frage nach der zuk\u00fcnftigen Zusammensetzung der Batteriematerialien ist derzeit noch offen. \u201eVor einigen Jahren war Kobalt in aller Munde, doch nun zeigt sich, dass die ben\u00f6tigte Kobaltmenge viel geringer ist als bislang angenommen. Der k\u00fcnftige Materialmix f\u00fcr die Kathoden steht noch nicht fest\u201c, sagte Gielen. (DW)<\/p>\n<p>Das vor allem f\u00fcr die Batterieproduktion stark nachgefragte Lithium ist in mehreren Regionen der Welt verf\u00fcgbar. Der Bergbau selbst sei also kein so gro\u00dfer strategischer Faktor, die Verarbeitung jedoch schon: \u201eChina dominiert die Verarbeitung von Lithium f\u00fcr Batterien, und chinesische Unternehmen kaufen viele neue Lithium-Lieferkapazit\u00e4ten auf.\u201c (DW)<\/p>\n<p>Ein weiterer wichtiger Rohstoff f\u00fcr Batterien ist Nickel. Derzeit wird dieser Rohstoff haupts\u00e4chlich auf den Philippinen und in Indonesien abgebaut. Allerdings findet das Recycling wiederum \u00fcberwiegend in China statt. Insgesamt wird sich die Nachfrage nach Nickel in den n\u00e4chsten zehn Jahren voraussichtlich verdoppeln.<\/p>\n<p>Ein weiterer wichtiger Baustein der Energiewende sind die Seltenen Erden, die auch f\u00fcr Magnete ben\u00f6tigt werden. China kontrollierte im Jahr 2010 mehr als 90 Prozent der Produktion des Landes. M\u00f6gliche Exportbeschr\u00e4nkungen stellen, auch wenn sie rechtlich unzul\u00e4ssig sind, eine Bedrohung f\u00fcr andere Industriel\u00e4nder dar.
