Da die Niederlande mit \u00fcber 500 Einwohnern pro Quadratkilometer eines der am dichtesten besiedelten L\u00e4nder Europas sind, wird beim Bauen in St\u00e4dten vor allem auf die H\u00f6he geachtet. Der in diesem Jahr fertiggestellte 107 Meter hohe Wohnkomplex Terraced Tower zeigt, wie urbanes Wohnen in Zukunft aussehen kann. Direkt am Ufer der Maas im Zentrum von Rotterdam gelegen, bietet der Geb\u00e4udekomplex auf 33 Etagen Platz f\u00fcr 344 Wohnungen.<\/p>\n

Doch auch mit einem nachhaltigen Energiekonzept wirbt das Hochhausprojekt: Auf dem Dach und in Teilen der Fassade kommen Photovoltaikzellen zum Einsatz. Das deutsche Unternehmen Solarwatt hat hierf\u00fcr besonders robuste Solarmodule hergestellt, die f\u00fcr den Einsatz in gro\u00dfen H\u00f6hen geeignet sind und Witterungseinfl\u00fcssen standhalten.<\/p>\n

Das Beton- und Stahldach ist mit 216 Modulen mit einer Gesamtleistung von 103 kWp best\u00fcckt, Teile der Fassade sind mit 111 Glas-auf-Glas-Modulen ausgestattet. Die j\u00e4hrliche Stromerzeugung wird voraussichtlich ca. 93.000 kWh betragen.<\/p>\n
