Mehr als 122.000 Solarmodule bedecken eine Fl\u00e4che von 45 Fu\u00dfballfeldern am Tenge-Stausee. Um den Solarpark so umweltfreundlich wie m\u00f6glich zu gestalten, wurden die schwimmenden Plattformen aus Polyethylen hoher Dichte (HDPE) hergestellt. Dieses Material ist recycelbar, korrosionsbest\u00e4ndig und lebensmittelecht. Da der Bau der Station w\u00e4hrend der Pandemie erfolgen musste, setzten die Entwickler von Sembcorp Industries auch Drohnen ein. Der Solarpark verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber eine Leistung von bis zu 60 Megawatt und reicht damit aus, um alle f\u00fcnf Wasseraufbereitungsanlagen in Singapur mit Strom zu versorgen. Dadurch sollen j\u00e4hrlich 32 Kilotonnen Kohlendioxid eingespart werden.<\/p>\n<p>Singapur ist einer der gr\u00f6\u00dften CO2-Emittenten pro Kopf in Asien. Im Februar 2021 legte die Regierung einen \u201egr\u00fcnen Plan\u201c zum Schutz des Klimas vor, der unter anderem Ma\u00dfnahmen wie das Pflanzen von B\u00e4umen und den Bau von Ladestationen zur Steigerung der Nutzung von Elektrofahrzeugen vorsieht. Das Land verpflichtete sich au\u00dferdem, den Aussto\u00df sch\u00e4dlicher Substanzen in die Atmosph\u00e4re in der zweiten H\u00e4lfte des 21. Jahrhunderts vollst\u00e4ndig zu beenden. Doch der Landmangel des Stadtstaates macht die Nutzung von Wind- und Solarenergie problematisch.
