Grid infrastructure in Central Asia and the Caucasus is often out-dated, representing one of the main obstacles of the countries on their road towards a green future. The seminar formed the second session of the Solar Universities seminar series on the global energy transition, launched in February 2023, and includes 8 thematic seminars on key aspects of the energy transition and the accompanying challenges within the specific context of Central Asia and the Caucasus.  <\/p>\n<p>The seminar, led by Prof. emer. Alexander Kiryuchin, was attended by professors and students from universities of a wide range of countries, including Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
