The school currently has more than 800 students (as of 2024). Four of the 60 teachers employed teach German. It is taught as a first and second foreign language in the upper secondary school. In addition, the academic lyceum has been offering a well-grounded education in physics and mathematics, chemistry and biology, philology and linguistics as well as in the social sciences and humanities for more than twenty years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An essential part of the school\u2019s profile are the numerous clubs at the Lyceum. These include the following associations: \u201cWe Learn Russian\u201d, \u201cYoung Physicists\u201d, \u201cYoung Chemists\u201d, \u201cMathematicians\u201d, \u201cStep by Step (English)\u201d, \u201cGerman Studies\u201d, \u201cTop Musicians\u201d and sports clubs for football and volleyball, table tennis, chess and draughts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Statistically, the Academic Lyceum is one of the best lyceums in Uzbekistan, which is reflected in the number of graduates who go on to study at the most prestigious universities in Uzbekistan. The school is also very advanced in terms of the overall quality of education. A German teacher at the lyceum was awarded a scholarship for the development of language teaching in the Republic of Uzbekistan and was even named \u201cTeacher of the Year in Uzbekistan\u201d in 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2013, the lyceum has been part of the PASCH (Partner Schools of the Future) initiative. Teachers and students actively participate in international exchange programmes with countries such as Germany, Russia and France.
