Fifth solar system installed in Kaliningrad

The installation company "AES-Center" from Kaliningrad region installed another photovoltaic system for the project "Solar Schools" on the roof of the gymnasium №32 in Kaliningrad. The system has not been put into operation yet because German engineers of our project partner SOLAR23 could not fly to Kaliningrad due to the coronavirus pandemic. This will be compensated as soon as the restrictions are lifted and the engineers can travel to Russia again.

There are currently only two solar systems out of seven installed successfully to meet the 2020 target. The sixth solar system will be installed by SOLAR23 together with local installation companies in St. Petersburg and the seventh will be installed in Samara. The solar components for these systems have already been delivered to both schools and should be installed as soon as possible.

Opening ceremonies for all the new solar schools that have not yet been opened, Krasnodar, Ulyanovsk, Kaliningrad, St. Petersburg, and Samara, were originally scheduled for May and June. Due to the current restrictions caused by the coronavirus pandemic we postponed them until the autumn.
