Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications
The “Almaty University of Energy and Telecommunications” was founded in 1997 as the first private technical university on the basis of the “Almaty University of Energy” (1975-1997). At the university, classes are taught in Kazakh and Russian. Since 2013, the university has been offering two degree programs – Radio Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications and Energy Engineering – in English. The university is divided into four faculties – the Institute of Energy and Green Technologies, the Institute of Natural Sciences and Humanities, the Institute of Information Technologies and the Institute of Communications and Engineering. In addition, the university has three of its own research laboratories.
Almaty University of Energy and Telecommunications is one of the leading technical universities in Central Asia and trains experts in the fields of energy management, information technologies, telecommunications, artificial intelligence, engineering and robotics.
The Almaty University of Energy and Telecommunications is very well connected internationally and cooperates with over 90 universities worldwide.
