Photon Gymnasium in Gyumri

The “Photon” Gymnasium was founded in 1995 in the new district of “Ani” in Gyumri to provide high-quality education to children from families affected by the earthquake. Today, the Gymnasium offers four specialized areas of study: Physics-Mathematics, Economics, Biology, and Humanities. With over 850 students, it is a vibrant and dynamic learning environment, proud of its achievements in both national and international competitions. Many graduates have excelled and successfully participated in international Olympiads, earning the school numerous medals.

The Gymnasium places great emphasis on modern educational technologies and international cooperation. Since 2018, it has been part of the network of German schools abroad, and since 2020, German has been taught as a third foreign language. Through programs such as student exchanges and scholarships from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), students have the opportunity to continue their education in Germany. The “Photon” Gymnasium remains an important educational institution in Gyumri, fostering talent and providing first-class education to students from various regions of Armenia.
