The high school №116 in the “City on the Neva” is the sixth to become a Solar School

In April 2020, a sixth solar school system was installed on the roof of high school №116 in St. Petersburg. Helios House became the local partner of the project, carrying out the installation.

The system in St. Petersburg, as in other schools involved in the project, was designed by SOLAR23. All the equipment for the system was supplied from Germany. The installed capacity is 1 kW peak. The monitoring equipment and inverter are located in the school's recreational area allowing students to monitor the system's energy production in real time and track changes in production based on the presence or absence of the sun.

In the upcoming months the solar school systems in all schools will also be equipped with Internet access so that SOLAR23 specialists can monitor the systems, their technical condition and the production of the solar power plants.

The official opening of the system in the school is planned for the autumn of 2020, but the format and exact timing of the event have not yet been determined due to the global pandemic COVID-19.
