New BIPV product based on HJT technology

New BIPV product based on HJT technology

It is not only in countries such as the USA, Germany, Japan and China that research into building-integrated PV (BIPV) is advancing – interest is currently also growing among Russian companies, such as solar module and cell manufacturer Hevel Group. The company recently developed a new BIPV product based on high-tech heterojunction (HJT) solar modules.

Hevel used cells with an efficiency of 24.2%, according to the company’s research and development center. This percentage significantly exceeds the efficiency of standard monocrystalline and polycrystalline PV products.

Furthermore, the modules have a very low temperature coefficient (-0.26%) with a minimum annual degradation (power reduction) of 0.45%. The power generation warranty of these BIPVs is 30 years.

Such BIPV systems bring numerous advantages, such as the reduction of energy costs and significantly shorter payback periods starting from five years. In addition, CO2 emissions can be reduced by implementing BIPV, allowing companies to meet their environmental goals and comply with international standards such as LEED, BREEAM and GREEN ZOOM.
