Im Jahr 2021 stieg die Kapazität neu installierter Anlagen zur Nutzung erneuerbarer Energien so stark wie nie zuvor. Die Internationale Energieagentur (IEA) hat 290 Gigawatt neu installierte Leistung gezählt, gab sie vergangene Woche in ihrem Bericht „Renewable Energy 2021 – Analysis and Projections to 2026“ bekannt. Bei Photovoltaikanlagen betrug der weltweite Zubau im Vergleich zum Vorjahr 17 Prozent auf 160 Gigawatt.
„Das diesjährige Rekordwachstum im Bereich der erneuerbaren Energien von 290 Gigawatt ist ein weiteres Zeichen dafür, dass eine neue globale Energiewirtschaft Gestalt annimmt“, sagte Fatih Birol, Exekutivdirektor der IEA. (pv-magazine)
By 2026, the IEA expects a significant increase in renewable capacity of more than 60 percent compared to 2020, with about half covered by photovoltaics. It is estimated that 4800 gigawatts of renewable capacity will be installed worldwide by 2026.
